My storage

An item: its panel, page and menu

Every item in My storage opens in a side panel or on a page of its own, and has a menu of actions. This page explains what you see there and what each action does.

The item's panel and page

Click a card in My storage to open the item's panel at the side of the screen. Double-click the card, or click Open the full page in the panel, to open the item's page. Both have the same parts, and on a wide screen the details stay at the side of the page while you scroll. Esc or Close closes the panel.

The page of the document How to write an essay, with the Edit, Deliver to the class and Share buttons
A document's page: the actions under its name, the preview, and the details beside it.

At the top: the kind, the name, who made it and when, and how many views, likes and comments it has. Under the name are the main actions, depending on the kind and on what you are allowed to do:

  • Edit in the studio – on your exam. On a question or a document: Edit.
  • Deliver to the class – on an exam or a document. More in Giving an exam digitally.
  • Download – on a file.
  • Share – on every item.
  • More actions (⋮) – the item's menu.

Preview, details and comments

The preview fits the kind: an exam shows its questions, with the Show the answers switch; a question or a document also has its versions; a PDF shows its pages; video and audio get a player; an image shows the image; and a folder shows what is in it. A file without a preview says so, and you can download it.

The About section has the description, subjects, tags, audience, language, duration, who can see it, its status and its dates. Private notes are shown only to the owner. Click a subject or a tag to search for it in My storage. On your own item, Edit the details opens the form in place, and Done saves it.

In Comments, write a comment, with a title if you like, and click Post. On someone else's item, Report a problem is at the bottom.

The item's menu

The ⋮ button (on the card, in the panel or on the page), a right click on a card, or Shift+F10 opens the menu. What it offers depends on the kind of item and on what you are allowed to do. At its top you open the item: Open for a folder, otherwise Edit (for the owner) and Open the item's page.
