Profile and preferences

Your personal settings are in the Settings menu at the bottom of the side rail: My profile and Preferences. The interface language is chosen in the user menu on the top bar.

My profile

The page has four tabs: Basic information, Contact details, Education and employment and Change password. Each field has a mark: an eye for a field other users see, and a lock for a private one.

  • Display picture: click Upload a new picture and choose a JPG, PNG or GIF picture. It's cut to a square.
  • Your name: title, first, middle and last name. These fields are private.
  • What others see: your Display name, shown on your items, comments and page, and About me. The number of display name changes can be limited; the hint under the field says if and when you can change it.
  • Contact details: email addresses, phones and addresses. They're private, and the star marks the main one.

When you're done, click Save changes in the bar at the bottom. The bar shows when there are changes that aren't saved yet, and the picture is saved with them.

The My profile page: the key with an eye and a lock, the tabs Basic information, Contact details, Education and employment and Change password, and the Display picture and Your name cards.
My profile: four tabs, and a key that explains the eye and the lock beside the fields.

Changing your password

  1. In the Change password tab, type Your current password.
  2. Type a New password. The rules under it are ticked off as you type: 8 to 20 characters with no spaces, an uppercase and a lowercase English letter, and at least one digit.
  3. Type it again in Verify password, and click Change password.

The password is saved on its own, apart from the rest of the profile. An account you sign in to with Google or Facebook has no current password field. After several wrong tries in a row, you have to wait 15 minutes.

The Change your password card: the fields Your current password, New password and Verify password, the three rules, and the Change password button.
Changing the password: the current one, a new one with its rules, and the check.

Language and country

  1. Open the user menu (your name at the end of the top bar) and choose Language.
  2. In the Country and language window, choose a region, then a country, then a language. The country's languages come first, and you can show others too.
  3. Click Done. The page loads again in the language you chose, and the choice is saved in your account.

The Language field in the Basic information tab belongs to your profile, and doesn't change the interface language.

The Country and language window: first a region, then a country and a language.

Preferences

In Preferences you set what new items start with. You can still change each item on its own.

  • Item properties: the language and sharing of new items, a Default main subject (required) and up to 10 Preferred subjects, Leave room for the answer in open questions, and an audience with its grades or an age range.
  • Designs: the Default print design for printed exams, and the Default exam design for digital ones. Choose a Category and click the design's picture. Under My print designs and My designs, Make one in the studio opens the studio to make your own.

Save with Save changes. If you have no default language yet, the first time you choose a language for an item, Libtee asks whether to keep it as your default. More on designs: exam designs.

The Preferred subjects card: Default main subject Mathematics, the preferred subjects Mathematics and Physics, and the box Leave room for the answer in open questions. The Designs tab: Default print design with the My print designs category and a Make one in the studio button, and Default exam design with the Contemporary category and pictures of designs.

Notifications

The bell on the top bar shows how many notifications are waiting. Click it to open Active notifications: for example ratings and comments on your items, invitations and requests to join a group or an account, and answers to your requests. Invitations and requests have buttons to accept or decline. The × next to a notification dismisses it, and Dismiss all clears them all.
