Account and settings

A school's account

In a school's account, the account's managers invite teachers, set what each user may do, and set up the account and the school's sign-in page. This page goes through each of these screens.

Where the account's pages are

Select Settings at the bottom of the side rail. Under the account's name are Users, Account settings, Account preferences and Announcements. Only the account's managers see these links. Read-only administrators see every page, but only administrators can change things in them.

Users

The Users page lists everyone in the account, and above them how many users there are out of what the plan allows.

  • The All, Joined, Invited and Managers filters show part of the list, with a count for each.
  • Sort by: Join date, Last active or Items.
  • The search finds a user by name or email.

Requests to join come first, with the message written in them: select Approve or Reject. Next come the invitations that weren't answered yet, with Send again and Cancel the invitation. A user's row has Edit and Remove, except for the account's owner and your own row. Users removed from the account no longer see its shared items and classes, and their own items stay theirs.

Inviting teachers

  1. Select Invite users.
  2. Type or paste email addresses, separated by commas, spaces or lines.
  3. If you like, change Your message, which is sent with the invitation.
  4. Select Send invitations. The people you invited get an email with a link to join.

To register a whole list at once, select Register from a file and choose a file with a line for each user: email, password, name. The list opens in a table you can fix before you select Register. Users who are already registered in Libtee get an invitation instead.

When the account is full, Invite users is off: to invite more, remove a user or move to a bigger plan (see Plan and billing).

Each user's role

Edit opens a window with the user's details and three choices. Select Save when you're done.

  • Role in the account: Member, Editor, Read-only admin or Administrator.
  • On the account's page: whether they may publish on the school's page, and to whom: Doesn't publish to the page, Publishes to students only, Publishes to everyone or Manages the page.
  • Their students and groups: the students and classes linked to the user, in a tree you can search.

The account's settings and preferences

Account settings has cards: The account (name, description, picture and subjects), Joining and sharing, What new items must have, What members may do, The members' home page and The school's sign-in page: its address, title, background and ways to sign in. When you're done, select Save changes. The name is changed on its own, with Change the name, and only a limited number of times.

A card with switches: create exams and questions, sell items, rate items, publish on pages and to students, and see only the items the account approved.

Account preferences sets what the members' new items start with: their language, sharing, the logo on exams, and the default print and exam designs. You can lock the sharing and the logo so members can't change them, and under What members may use choose which designs are allowed.

Announcements and approving items

  1. In Announcements, select New announcement.
  2. Write a Title, a few words for the home page (In a few words) and The full announcement.
  3. Leave Show it on the members' home page on, and select Save.

Each announcement shows in the list as Shown to members or Hidden, and Edit opens it again.

When See only the items the account approved is on, members see only the items the managers approved. Managers see the whole account's items in My items; in the Approved by the account column, selecting the button switches between Approved and Not approved. An item that's missing required settings can be approved only after they're filled in.
