How students get in

Students don't need a Libtee account. They sign in to your page with their name and personal code, or open a direct link to an exam. This page explains what to send them and what they see.

Send students your page's address

Your page's address is on every class's page, in the strip Students find this class on your page. Click Copy the address and send it to your students, with each one's personal code. You can download the names and codes of all the class's students in one list (see Classes).

If the strip says Your page is off, turn it on first with Turn on your page (see Your page).

The strip Students find this class on your page, with the page's address and the See the class on your page and Copy the address buttons.
On a class's page: your page's address to send to students, and Copy the address.

Signing in with a name and personal code

This is how students sign in:

  1. Open the page's address and click Sign in.
  2. In Email or user name, type the name exactly as in Name to show in the student's details, or the email you entered there.
  3. In Password, type the personal code: the Sign-in code from their details.
  4. Click Sign in.

Students with an email in their details can also click Continue with Google (or with Microsoft, Facebook or X) and sign in with that address. Once signed in, the page says Signed in as with their name, and they see their classes and what you gave them (see How students see your page).

Important: If it says The name or the code is wrong, check the name and code in the class's list. After several wrong tries, students wait a little before the next one, and the page says how long.

The sign-in form on the teacher's page: the Email or user name and Password fields, the Sign in button, and below it buttons to continue with Google, Microsoft, Facebook and X.
Signing in on the page: the name goes in Email or user name, and the personal code in Password.

The teacher's code on a school's page

In a school's account, each teacher's students sign in to the school's page and also type the teacher's code there. You find your code on each class's page: the strip then also gives your teacher code, which is a number. Students type it in Teacher's code, then their name and personal code as usual.

On a school's page the field says Only if your teacher gave you one: students the school's managers added sign in without it. If a class's strip shows no teacher code, its students leave the field empty.

The strip Students find this class on your page, saying each student signs in with their name, personal code and the teacher code, with the page's address below.
On a school's page, the strip on the class's page also gives the teacher code that students type.

A direct exam link

You can also send students the link to a single exam, from Link to the exam in its delivery screen (see Giving an exam digitally). What students see depends on who can open the exam:

  • Anyone with the link: the exam opens right away, or after they fill in the details you asked for, such as Full name.
  • Only students I choose, for example a class: students who haven't signed in to your page see the sign-in first, with The teacher sent this to their students by name. Sign in to open it. After signing in they reach the exam's entry, type the code in Personal code and click Enter the exam.

A folder or document you gave to chosen students also asks them to sign in first, then opens. A wrong code at the exam's entry brings them back to the form with That code isn't right. Check it and try again.

A phone screen with the exam's title, a note that the teacher sent it to their students by name, and the sign-in form open. The exam's entry card on a phone, with a logo, the exam's title, the Personal code field and the Enter the exam button.

When students can't get in

  • Your page is on: the class's page doesn't say Your page is off.
  • The class isn't hidden: if it says This class is hidden on your page, click Show it on your page.
  • The name and code match the student's details (check with Edit details).
  • On a school's page, the teacher's code is right.
  • The exam or folder is open: on the class's page, choose Open it to students in its card's menu.
