Getting started

First steps: from your profile to the results

Five steps that take a first exam from an idea to grades: your profile, an exam made with AI, a class with students, delivering the exam to the class, and the results. Each step links to the page that explains it in detail.

Three illustrated cards: ask the AI, assign it to your class, see the results
While your storage is empty, the home page shows your first exam in three steps.

1. Complete your profile

  1. Click your name at the end of the top bar and choose My profile.
  2. Add a picture with Upload a new picture.
  3. Fill in your name and your display name.
  4. Save with the page's save button.

In your profile: the display picture, and the button to upload a new one.

Each field is marked with who sees it: an eye means other users see it too, a lock means only you do. More in Profile and preferences.

2. Create an exam with AI

  1. On the home page, in Which exam shall we create?, describe the exam and the class in a sentence. For example: a 10-question quiz on fractions for 4th grade.
  2. Click Create with AI.
  3. The studio opens with the AI window. Choose how many questions and which types, and click Create questions.
  4. Go over the questions, fix what needs fixing, and click Save and finish.

3. Make a class and add students

  1. In the side rail, choose Classrooms.
  2. Click New class, give the class a name and save it.
  3. Add the students. Each student has a personal code, and students sign in with it on your page.

On My classes, the New class button starts a class.

4. Deliver the exam to the class

  1. In the studio, or in the exam's panel in My storage, click Deliver to the class.
  2. Choose Digital (or Printed for a version to print).
  3. On the delivery screen, in the Settings tab, choose Only students I choose and tick the class.
  4. Click Open to students.
The "How will students get it?" window with two choices: Digital and Printed
Deliver to the class asks how students will get the exam: digital or printed.

The students you chose see the exam in their class on your page after they sign in with their name and code, as long as it's open. The Publish tab also has the exam's link and Copy link. More in Giving an exam digitally and A printed exam.

5. See the results

Closed questions are checked automatically. To see the results:

  • On the home page, Live exams shows how many students have handed the exam in.
  • In the side rail, Analytics has a row for each digital exam. Click a row to open its results: a row for each attempt, with the score and a square for each question.
  • On the delivery screen, Results opens them too.

Answers to open questions wait for your score on the results page. More in An exam's results and Analytics and charts.
