Taking an exam

When your teacher sends you a link to an exam, this page explains each step: getting in, answering the questions, submitting, and seeing your grade.

An exam as students see it: the opening page, a question, the summary and the result.

Getting into the exam

Open the link, or select the exam on your teacher's page. On the entry page, fill in what the exam asks for:

  • Personal code: the personal code you get from your teacher.
  • Access code: the exam's code, the same for all students.
  • Full name, Email or Phone, when the exam asks for details. Your teacher sees these details with your answers.

Select Enter the exam. If something is missing, it's explained under the field. If you only have the exam's number, type it in Exam number and select Continue.

Next comes the opening screen: the exam's name, your teacher's message, and how many questions and how much time there are. Select Start the exam.

The exam's entry card, with the exam's name, the Access code and Full name fields, the Enter the exam button, and a note that the teacher sees the details. The exam's opening screen, with the greeting Hello, Noa Levi, the teacher's message, the number of questions and the time, and the Start the exam button.

Answering the questions

The top bar shows the exam's name, the timer (when the exam has one) and your name. Under it, a bar shows how much of the exam is behind you.

  • Questions with answers to choose from: select an answer. Above the answers it says Choose one answer or You can choose more than one answer.
  • True or false: select one of the two answers.
  • Open questions: write in the box, Write your answer here.
  • Fill in the blanks: type in each blank, or choose its answer from the blank's list.
  • Matching: under each item, mark the letters that match it. You can mark more than one letter.
  • Questions with parts: answer each part on its own.

The buttons are at the bottom. Save and continue sends your answer and moves to the next question; on the last question the button is Save and review. Skip moves on without answering, and Previous goes back, when the exam allows it. Hint shows a hint, and the button says how many points it takes off. Each answer is saved as soon as you send it.

In an exam that shows the result right away, select Check to see whether your answer is right (Correct! or Not quite), then select Next question.

Tip: When time is running out, the timer changes color. On a phone, the buttons stay at the bottom of the screen.

Submitting

After the last question, or with Review and submit, you reach Before you submit. It shows the questions that still have no answer, and selecting one takes you back to it. Then select Submit the exam. If some questions have no answer, you're asked Submit anyway?: Submit submits, and Not yet takes you back to the summary.

The Before you submit screen, with a warning that two questions still have no answer, a list of the two questions, and the Submit the exam and Back to the questions buttons.
Before you submit: the questions still without an answer, and the Submit the exam button.

Important: After you submit, the answers can't be changed.

Your grade

After you submit, you see one of three screens, depending on the exam's settings:

  • Your grade: your grade as a percentage, and sometimes your teacher's notes and how long the exam took.
  • The exam was submitted, and your grade will be ready once the answers are checked: some answers still wait for your teacher to check them.
  • The exam was submitted, with a thank-you for your answers: this exam doesn't show a grade.

The See my answers button, when it shows, goes through each question with your answer and the correct one. Try again starts the exam again, when you have attempts left.

The grade screen with 85% in a ring, the teacher's notes, the time taken, and the See my answers and Try again buttons.
The grade after submitting, your teacher's notes, seeing your answers, and another attempt.

Students who sign in to their teacher's page see all their scores in My results.
