Classes and your page

Your page: your students' site

Your page is your students' site. They open it in a browser, with no account, and find what you gave them and what you chose to show everyone. This page explains what's on it, how to set it up and how to put items on it.

Your page and your classes

Your classes are your place inside Libtee: the students, their codes, what each class gets and the results. Only you see them. Your page is the students' side: what you add to a class shows there for the class's students, after they sign in with their name and personal code (see Classes).

The box "Your classroom and your page: what's the difference?", with the Your page part marked You're here.
The page's settings explain the difference between the classroom, where you run your classes, and your page.

What students see

At the top are the page's title, logo and description, with its background picture behind them. Below are Search this page, the page's sections and the items, newest first, 25 to a page.

  • When the page has categories, every visitor sees Everything, a section for each category that has items, and Other for items in no category.
  • Students who sign in also see My classes, with each class's picture and description, and Just for me: what they got personally.

The page's settings

  1. In the side rail, click Settings and choose Your page.
  2. Turn on the switch The page is on.
  3. In Its address, type the end of the address: at least 3 characters, starting with a letter. Under the field it says whether it's Available.
  4. Type a Title (needed) and a Description.
  5. Upload a Logo (a square picture works best) and a Background (a wide picture).
  6. Click Save changes.

Once it's saved, the top of the page has Open the page, Copy link and Embed it in a website. Send the link to your students (see How students get in).

Important: The page is set up by the account's administrators. In a school's account, the school's managers set it up, and each class's page shows the address of the school's page.

The page settings card with The page is on switch, the Its address field, the Title and Description fields, and the logo and background areas.

Categories

Categories group what's on your page, and each one is a section students can open. A category with no items isn't shown.

  1. On the Categories card, type a name in A new category and click Add a category. It's added to your page at once.
  2. You can change a Name or Description, reorder with Move up and Move down, or delete with Remove the category.
  3. Click Save changes.

Putting items on your page

What you give a class, except something to print, shows for the class's students on your page with nothing more to do, while it's open. To show an item to everyone who visits your page, or to put it in a category:

  • In the delivery screen of an exam, a document or a folder, under Publish to a page: turn on Show on your page and check Categories. You can also type a New category and click Add.
  • An exam in My storage: in its menu choose Publish to a page, pick a delivery, turn on On the page, check categories and click Save.

A delivery for Only students I choose shows only to those students, after they sign in. More in Giving an exam digitally.

Items on your page

In the Settings menu, choose Items on your page to see everything on the page, with its Categories, Who can open it, Status, Views and Downloads. Each row has buttons: How it shows on the page (the title, the categories and who can open it), its results or its file, and Take it off the page. An item taken off the page stays as it is, and you can put it back later.
