Analytics and charts

The Analytics page shows at a glance how your students did on all your digital exams. Each exam's Charts tab shows how each question was answered, and each student's score and time.

The Analytics page

Select Analytics in the side rail. Six tiles are at the top: Total attempts, Attempts this month, Submitted, Average score, Passed (the share who passed) and Deliveries with activity.

Tiles: Total attempts, Attempts this month, Submitted, Average score, Passed, and Deliveries with activity.
Six tiles sum up all your digital exams.

Under the tiles, the By delivery table has a row for each digital exam, the one answered most recently first. Each row shows:

  • Attempts and Submitted, with the share of attempts that were submitted.
  • Average score out of 100, with a bar. An average below the passing score (or below 56 when there's none) is red; from 85 up it's green.
  • Passed: the share who passed, with the passing score beside it.
  • Last answer: when someone last answered. Together with the Attempts this month tile, it shows whether students still answer the exam.

Select an exam's name to open its results. While you have no digital exams yet, the page offers Create an exam with AI.

An exam's charts

On an exam's results page, select the Charts tab. Tiles at its top show Students, Passed, Average score, Highest score and Lowest score. Below them are three views: Overview, Students and Questions. In Overview:

  • How they did: how many passed, didn't pass, or didn't finish.
  • Scores: a column for each score, highest to lowest, with a line for the average and one for the passing score.
  • Time spent: how long the exam took each student, with the shortest, average and longest times.

On the Charts tab, the tiles sum up the delivery. The charts come below them.

By student

The Students view has two charts: Each student's score and Each student's time. When there's a passing score, a green column is an attempt that passed and a red column one that didn't. A gray column is a score that's Not final yet: the attempt isn't finished, or some answers in it wait for your score. This view shows when there are fewer than 20 attempts, or when the exam was given to chosen classes and students. Select The numbers under the charts to see each student's score and time in a table.

To follow a class's students across all its exams, open the Results tab on the class's page. Its By student table starts with the lowest average, so the students who need help are on top.

By question

In the Questions view, the How each question was answered chart shows, for each question, how many answers were right, partly right and wrong, in the legend's colors: Right, Partly right, Wrong and Not scored. Not scored counts answers still waiting for a score, and students who didn't get to the question. Select a question's name on the chart to see its text below it. The Time on each question chart shows the shortest, average and longest times.

A question that many got wrong may point to a topic worth going over again, or to unclear wording. An unusually long time may mean a question is harder than expected.

Tip: In the Questions view too, The numbers shows the data as a table. When the results refresh by themselves and new answers come in, New results came in. shows with a Refresh the charts button.
