Account and settings

AI settings

Libtee writes exams and questions with Anthropic's Claude. On the AI Settings page you set your account's API key and see how much was used this month. Open it from the Settings menu on the side rail, under AI.

What uses AI

  • Creating an exam with AI, from Create with AI on the top bar.
  • Adding questions with AI to an exam in the Exam studio.
  • Creating one question again with AI.

When your account has a key, all of these run on it, for every member of the account, with no free-tier limit. Without a key, they use a monthly free tier of questions on the platform's account. It counts the questions created, for the whole account together, and when fewer questions are left than you asked for, only those are created. More on creating with AI: creating an exam with AI.

Adding a key

  1. Create a key in the Anthropic console, at console.anthropic.com (the page links to it).
  2. Paste it into The key.
  3. Click Save key. Libtee tests the key with Anthropic and saves it only if it works; then you see The key was verified and saved.

The key is stored encrypted. After Stored key: the page shows only its last four characters. Once a key is stored, the field is called A new key (replaces the stored one).

Only the account's admins and owners can change the key. Other members of the account see the page without the form.

Testing, replacing and removing

Test keyTests the key in the field, or the stored key when the field is empty. If it works you see The key works; if not, you see the reason.
Save key, with a new key in the fieldThe new key is tested and replaces the stored one.
Remove keyAfter you confirm, the key is deleted, and generation goes back to the free tier, if there is one.

This month's usage

The This month's usage card shows the Questions generated and the Generation runs this month, and Tokens — input and Tokens — output: how much text was sent to the AI and how much it wrote. Without a key it also shows the Monthly free tier on the platform's account, with the number of questions used out of it and a bar that fills up. When it's used up, wait for next month or add a key.

When AI doesn't work
